1. Read the whole Harry Potter series (in English).
When the Harry Potter books came out I was a little too young to read them myself. So my brother and I listened to the Dutch audiobooks in the car on vacation. The movies I've all seen in theater and it was great to grow up with Harry Potter. A few weeks ago I finally started to read the series in the language it was written in, and I'm halfway book two now. The funny thing is that while I'm reading the same pictures are popping up in my head as when I listened to the Dutch audiobooks, before the movies came out. So crazy that they appeared again after so many years! I also want to watch the movies every time I finish a book. It's gonna be a great time!
2. Not to buy any new books before I've read all books on your shelf you want to read.
This is a hard but really good one I think. In stead off making that TBR pile bigger and bigger I want to get rid of it as much as I can!
3. Read at least 5 "old" Dutch books.
I've got some Dutch books on my shelfs that everyone from my age and older will know. And although these books al real childhood sentiment for some people, I haven't read the most of them.
4. Read a book from each of these genres: contemporary, thriller, sci-fy, classic
Anyone got some more nice genres??
5. Read 20 books in total.
Last year I set my goal to 12 books, a book a month, and I didn't reach it... (yet?) I didn't really do my best either, so this year I'm going to set a higher goal but I'm sure I'm going to read more if I'm enjoying reading more, like I do now!
These were my challenges for next year. At the and of 2015 I'll make a similar post, look back at the year, see if I reached my goals and set some new ones for 2016!
